SPD Contracting, Inc., as the Design-Builder, is overseeing the design and construction of the MPD 4th District Headquarters Generator Replacement Project. This project involves replacing the existing emergency generator system to ensure reliable backup power for critical law enforcement operations. Scope elements include site investigation, load analysis, and coordination with utility providers to facilitate seamless integration of the new system. Our team will install a high-capacity diesel generator with an automatic transfer switch, fuel storage system, and all necessary electrical infrastructure upgrades.
Work will be phased to minimize disruption to daily MPD operations, ensuring continuous power availability. SPD will collaborate with Engenium Group for MEP design, leveraging our expertise in government facilities to achieve a cost-effective and code-compliant solution. Close coordination with MPD stakeholders and adherence to DGS quality standards will ensure successful project delivery within schedule and budget constraints.
