Forest Ridge and The Vistas Apartments Renovations
This project, now known as Skyline Apartments, was a comprehensive rehabilitation initiative to preserve and enhance 398 affordable housing units located in Ward 8 of Washington, D.C. The extensive scope of work included substantial interior and exterior improvements aimed at resolving critical maintenance concerns and significantly improving resident quality of life. Renovations featured high-efficiency windows, Energy Star-certified kitchen appliances, upgraded plumbing and HVAC systems, and comprehensive mold remediation. Accessibility improvements were made throughout the properties to ensure compliance with ADA standards.
Safety enhancements, including updated fire-safety systems and improved site security, were also key priorities. Additionally, the project featured the construction of a new, modern community office designed to foster resident engagement and support. The revitalization transformed these essential affordable housing communities, significantly enhancing living conditions and sustainability for residents.
